  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds, plus more for garnish
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 500 grams of sashimi-grade tuna, cubed
  • 2-3 spring onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 small mango

  1. Whisk together the soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil and seeds, and red pepper flakes in a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Add the cubed tuna andspring onions to the sauce , gently stir together to dress the tuna. Marinade for 5 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, pit and cube the avocado and mango (the chunks should be of a similar size to the tuna)
  4. Add the avocado and mango to the tuna, and gently mix together so the avocado and mango don't lose their shape.
  5. Scoop the tuna poke into a 1/2 measuring cup, pack the cup so the mixture takes shape and up-end on each serving plate.
  6. Serve with rice and pickled ginger.
